About the Author
J.Q. (Jacob Quentin) Gagliastro grew up as the new kid, moving from state to state-VA, NY, FL, MA, PA, and CT. At age sixteen, he was thrown out for being non-binary queer. Despite this, he pushed himself through school and earned a BA in French Language & Literature from Allegheny College. He also studied language arts in Northern Italy and Angers, France. In France, he worked at the city hall of Fismes as a FR/EN translator. He then moved to the great city of Philadelphia and returned to his one true passion-literature. Coming from a working-class family of eight, J.Q. always had to support himself. When he couldn't, he became a sugarbaby and ashamedly sold his body. While "The Diary of a Sugarbaby" is a work of fiction, it is also a horrendous yet bittersweet story about his life and honest experiences as a sugarbaby twisted into a political satire. It has now become a #1 New Release in LGBTQ+ Coming of Age Fiction and a 5-Star read according to Readers' Favorite. Visit jqgagliastro.com and follow @jq.gagliastro on IG for more!
Reviews

"The Diary of a Sugarbaby is The Handmaid's Tale on steroids. Captivating and graphic." Manhattan Book Review

"Tragic and heartbreaking, The Diary of a Sugarbaby is a coming-of-age story unlike any other... Unflinchingly raw." Readers' Favorite (five-starred review)

"Gagliastro's chilling novel about a nightmarish future pushes right-wing politics to terrifying extremes... Razor sharp, timely, and written with a great deal of thought." Kirkus Reviews

"Stellar!" Jessica Raymond, expert editor at Fiverr

"May shock some readers; one execution by guillotine is especially gruesome... Employing short chapters and much suspense, the book powerfully critiques homophobia, misogyny, and sex-shaming." BlueInk Review

"Talented writer who lays everything bare." Amazon review

"Uplifting at times and harrowing at others, The Diary of a Sugarbaby will be sure to keep you on the edge of your seat." Barnes & Noble review
