Reviews
"A haunting, atmospheric story." -- P.J. Parrish, New York Times bestselling author
"It's always fun to discover a new Florida voice, especially one who can bring to life the rich texture--the sand, the sea, the moss-draped live oaks, the seedy fishing shacks, the salted boat culture--of the state's coast...the menace and the history are resolved in a hurricane of a finale." -- Tampa Tribune
"The shifting little isles along the Florida Panhandle--hurricane-wracked bits of land filled with plenty of human history--serve as the effective backdrop for Evans' debut, a tale of greed, archeology, romance and murder." -- Publishers Weekly
"First-novelist Evans introduces a strong female sleuth in this extremely promising debut, and she makes excellent use of her archaeological subject matter, weaving past and present together in a multilayered, compelling plot." -- Booklist
