About the Author
Rabbi Sandy Eisenberg Sasso is the author of the National Jewish Book Award finalist Regina Persisted: An Untold Story, as well as Judy Led the Way, God's Paintbrush, and many other books for children. She is rabbi emerita at Congregation Beth-El Zedeck in Indianapolis, director of religion, spirituality, and the arts at the IUPUI Arts and Humanities Institute; and co-founder of Women4Change Indiana. She lives in Indianapolis

AMY-JILL LEVINE is University Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies and Mary Jane Werthan Professor of Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt Divinity School and Department of Jewish Studies. She has also taught at Swarthmore College, Cambridge University, and the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. She is the author of many books, including The Misunderstood Jew and Short Stories by Jesus, and she is the co-editor of the Jewish Annotated New Testament.

Denise Turu moved to New York in 2000, where she worked in set design studios, painted murals, and worked as a freelance illustrator, while her art showed in galleries in Manhattan and Brooklyn. She has also worked for Multimedia agencies in Paris, London, and Barcelona. She is the author and illustrator of a number of children books, and today she lives and work as an illustrator and fine artist in Barcelona, Spain.
