About the Author
Ben McKenzie has been a fixture on TV for more than two decades, first capturing audiences in the pop culture phenomenon The O.C. Recently, he played the lead role on Fox's hit series Gotham, for which he also directed and wrote episodes. In 2020, he starred in Grand Horizons, which received a Tony Award nomination for Best New Play. McKenzie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Virginia with a degree in economics and foreign affairs.

Jacob Silverman's work has been published in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Slate, the Atlantic, the New Republic, and many other publications. In 2008 the Virginia Quarterly Review recognized him as one of the top literary critics under thirty, and in 2012 he became a three-time Jeopardy! champion. He is on the board of Deep Vellum, a publisher of international literature. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
