About the Author
A former journalist, Patricia McCormick is the bestselling author of the critically acclaimed novels Never Fall Down, Purple Heart, My Brother's Keeper, and Cut, an ALA Best Book for Teenagers. Her novel, Sold, a National Book Award finalist, was named one of the Best 100 Books of the Year by Publishers Weekly, and the American Library Association selected it as one of the Top Ten Best Books for Young Adults in 2006.
