About the Author
Annecy Baez was born in the Dominican Republic and came to the United States when she was three years old. She was raised in the Bronx. She is a poet and fiction writer, and her literary work has appeared in Caudal, a Dominican journal; Tertuliando/Hanging Out, a bilingual anthology; and Callaloo. A psychotherapist by training, she holds a doctoral degree in clinical social work. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at Touro College Graduate School of Social Work and devotes her free time to writing and promoting education in Latinx communities.
