Description
On the western shore of Virginia's Chesapeake Bay, there is a wild and beautiful place called Ware Neck. Ware Neck is home to all kinds of wildlife, including a young otter named Pip.
Pip and his mama spend their days eating fresh fish from the river and napping on driftwood. As Pip gets older, though, he grows bored, and one day he sneaks away from the safe shallows into deep water to have an adventure of his own!
But out in the middle of the deep river lives a legendary monster, a creature bigger than anything Pip has ever seen. Will Pip find the adventure he's looking for? Or is he in way over his head?
