Reviews
"With his characteristic spiritual wisdom and learning, Rowan Williams provides a rich companion to the Gospel of Mark for the season of Lent. His vivid and accessible prose invites us into this strange, sparse Gospel, calling us to see God working in the world around us, subtly and slowly, from the very depth of being."--Jane Shaw, Dean for Religious Life and Professor of Religious Studies, Stanford University
"This fresh, new perspective on an ancient text gives us insight into the depth and wisdom of Mark as an ancient biography. Mark is not to be sidelined as the shortest of the gospels but should be relished as a deep, rich and enduring mystical resource."--The Very Reverend Katherine B. (Kate) Moorehead is the Dean of St. John's Episcopal Cathedral in Jacksonville, Florida, and author of several books, including Resurrecting Easter
