About the Author
FLORA NWAPA (1931-1993) was a Nigerian author and pioneer in African women's literature. She obtained a bachelor's degree from the University College, Ibadan, and later pursued a postgraduate degree in Education at the University of Edinburgh. Armed with a deep understanding of her country's rich cultural heritage and the experiences of African women, Nwapa embarked on a mission to tell their stories.
