Emily Bronte
(Author)
Description
The classic novel of unrequited love. Heathcliff is found in Liverpool and brought to stay at Wuthering Heights, a farmhouse on the Yorkshire moors. There he meets Catherine and he falls in love. Alas, Catherine chooses to marry Edgar Linton instead. Jealousy and vengeance form the core themes, and while this is Emily Brontë's only novel, it stands the test of time. A must-read.

Emily Brontë (1818-1848) was an English writer who died at the tender age of 30. Wuthering Heights was her only novel, but it stands as a classic of English Literature. Sadly, Emily caught cold at her brother's funeral, which soon led to tuberculosis. She grew steadily worse, refusing medical aid. On her death bed, her final words were, "If you send for a doctor, I will see him now."
