Description
I used to get extremely burnt out and couldn't even handle booking a hotel or flight when I did have time off. I thought "Wouldn't it be awesome if someone would write a guide that gave you one perfect escape; the hotel, spa, flight and restaurant." So that's what I did.My new series of mini-guides, although part of a much longer journey, are specifically designed to give you the precise information, the recipe you need to have the adventure - without getting bogged down with too many choices or details. Although there are three places to stay in this guide, I had to include them all as each stay was a trip of a lifetime.Johannesburg is a challenging place to visit; you need to be wise when choosing where to stay, where to go and how to travel. In this book I hope I have given anyone the resources to go there safely. (And do check out the sister guide to Durban if you want to have a longer trip in South Africa.)I am now an Amazon Best Seller in the Travel, Exercise & Fitness and Motivational Self-Help charts, and have been publishing the Pearl Escapes books since 2010, helping thousands of readers to escape to their dream destination."You will come away feeling as if she was sharing with you personally and will want to read more of her life adventures.""I loved the book. I think every reader will have the feeling of oh yes she understands the way I feel about massage and spas & yoga. That is your gift, everyone has the feeling you're talking to them. I sat down to read a little bit at 10am it's now almost 3pm I did take a small lunch break.""I finally feel like I'm really living, not just surviving." "I've just booked my first holiday in 13 years!""I love that you tell us where the best free loos are - this is priceless information that your average guidebook wouldn't give...""To me, you are a hero... You have learned to take something negative in your life and make it a positive... a gift to others. It doesn't get any better than that. Don't doubt that you are capable of helping others... in terms of other of life's difficulties... What an adventure!" Susan Jeffers, Ph.D., author of "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway"

I am currently a Zumba Instructor living in Wimbledon (you can Google me and come to my classes - please do). If I'm still there, of course. For the last 6 years I've felt called to experience and write about as many escapes, particularly massage, spas and healing as I could. I believe now that this was leading me ultimately to Sedona and to Chandler, Arizona to the Thoachta healing. (Coincidentally my beloved has lived most of his life only a few miles away from there.) I've written many books about my experiences with the hope that they will help people in some way, but I do it because I love to write, love to teach, love to share the miracles I've experienced. It also means a lot to me to help people out of pain, whether it's the torment of deciding whether to donate a kidney, supporting someone to get pain relief, helping people to understand and manage their anger, and now with this book, even before it was finished, just hearing about it has helped people to follow their hearts and do astounding things. It takes the pressure off me to do things myself and just be free to hug trees and hang out in the woods. I may be a shaman depending on what day it is and how you choose to define the word - this is my attempt from my last book; "a shaman is someone who is aware of the importance of spirituality in healing and uses that awareness to help heal mind, body and spirit."
