The Dust Bowl: Living in Tough Times

Cleo Lampos is an avid researcher of the Dust Bowl and Great Depression era. She has visited many of the sites that she presents in her books, has read diaries of those who lived through that dusty and poverty stricken era, and has listened to the stories of members of the Greatest Generation. With a Master's degree, 26 years in education and a storytelling background, Lampos invites readers to understand the challenges and triumphs of a difficult time in history. Lampos lives in the Chicago area with her husband on their urban farm. She is visited by 11 grandchildren.
