About the Author
J. P. Losty was Curator-in-Charge of the Indian visual collections, British Library, London. He has published many books and papers on Indian art from the 12th to the 19th centuries.
Konrad Seitz, lived in India for many years, including from 1987-1990 as German ambassador. He and his wife, Eva Seitz, rank among the most important private collectors of Indian miniature painting worldwide.
