My Rugby Memories
I would like to Acknowledge all the people that have helped me throughout my rugby playing days. From my first teachers in Bargoed Grammar, Mr P.G Williams who encouraged me at 13, and then to Mr Mike Vincent who took me to all the county trials and games. Chris Padfield who was the coach of Newbridge, and Monmouthshire schools helped me when I played for the county.
When I left school to go to college to train as a teacher, Cyril Johnson the P.E. lecturer sent me to the Welsh Colleges trials, and I got selected to play against English Colleges and then I was selected to play for the British Colleges against British Universities and Berkshire. Also a special mention was for Joe Smith who was the coach of Pontypridd, and In Bargoed, all the coaches, Mr T.Jones, Dr, Mike Sheen, and all the players who helped me throughout the games.
Lastly, to my father who encouraged me all the time to play as well as I could, whatever team I was playing for.
Mr Mal Pratten
