This book is intended to provide you with tips and techniques to enhance your public speaking skills in front of your peers, to national medical audiences, and even in front of laypersons. This book will even offer advice on how to take your public speaking to the next level and become a professional speaker. This is a book by a doctor and professional speaker both with over 50 years of public speaking experience who will share their ideas, the pitfalls to avoid, and what you need to do to become a memorable public speaker.

Most doctors and healthcare professionals pride themselves as good communicators. After all, that is how we take a history and then discuss our findings with our patients and then provide them with advice for restoring or maintaining their health. Except for bedside presentations to faculty or a presentation at grand rounds during medical school, we have received little training on public speaking. Except for those few doctors who have had formal media training, few of us are able or comfortable in front of the T.V. camera.
