Sherri Duskey Rinker is the author of six New York Times bestselling picture books in the Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site series, illustrated by Tom Lichtenheld and AG Ford (Chronicle Books). She is also the author of #1 NYT bestselling picture book Steam Train, Dream Train illustrated by Tom Lichtenheld (Chronicle Books). Her other picture books include series starter Roto and Roy illustrated by Don Tate (Little, Brown), Joy Ride illustrated by Ana Ramírez González (Candlewick), It’s So Quiet illustrated by Tony Fucile (Chronicle), and the nonfiction picture book biography Big Machines: The Story of Virginia Lee Burton illustrated by John Rocco (HMH). Sherri's work is inspired by her childhood love of books, her sons, and her 25-year career as a graphic designer. She writes in the hope of encouraging young readers and making the world a little more fun, one book at a time.
A. N. Kang is a Korean-born designer who started her career designing giftware, jewelry, and greeting cards. Later she also designed holiday installations all over New York City. She debuted as an author and illustrator with her picture book The Very Fluffy Kitty, Papillon. Her main source of inspiration is her love of animals. It's her dream to rescue injured baby wild animals like owls and penguins or any animals that would tolerate her constant hugs and kisses. A. N. Kang can be found online at annakangdesign.com.
