About the Author
Lisa Thompson, M.Ed is a 30-year veteran in the field of education. She's always taken a stance on the importance of reading, and during the pandemic of 2020 and 2021, she's also become an advocate for children's mental health. Her bestselling book, "I Miss My Teacher" struck a chord in the community and helped children around the world cope with their challenging new normal. Her second book, "I Miss My Teacher Colorable" utilizes a unique forked approach to discussing this difficult topic while offering children a creative outlet and helping them process their complex emotions. Lisa owns Teachkids Worldwide LLC, a company dedicated to both promoting literacy and fostering diversity in children's literacy across k-3 schools. Teachkids Worldwide LLC wants children to tap into their innate creativity as creativity is paramount to a child's ability to thrive. And this twice awarded Teacher of the Year by local districts educator isn't done advocating for those who need it most-our children. Holly Adams is a classically trained, award-winning actor and narrator who loves every single thing about stories and the beings that inhabit them. With her attention to tone and character integrity, Holly enjoys narrating pretty much anything, and specializes in action-adventure/fantasy, mysteries/thrillers, and the subtle comfort of self-help nonfiction. Holly's first language was Southern, after which her family moved around a lot, finally settling in rural New York. Combined with a love of languages and her professional training, these experiences gave her a range of regional Southern dialects and an excellent capacity for accent and dialect in general. When not behind a mic, Holly continues to perform on stage, in films, and with the circus, especially Red Nose.
