Her book Howl's Moving Castle was made into a Japanese animated movie by filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki. Among her most well-known works are the Chrestomanci series, the Derkholm series, and The Tough Guide to Fantasyland, which won the Hugo Award for Nonfiction.
