Carmen K. Jimenez is a licensed clinical addiction specialist associate, substance abuse professional, and licensed clinical social worker in NC and GA, as well as a licensed independent social worker in SC. She is also a registered play therapist supervisor credentialed by the Association of Play Therapy. She earned a bachelor's degree in Social Work with a certificate in Child Protective Services from Benedict College in 2004. Carmen was accepted into the advance standing program at the University of South Carolina earning a master's degree in Social Work in 2005 with a focus on communities and organizations. With a focus on children and play therapy, Carmen is the founder of Play Therapy with Carmen, Inc., an organization that educates the community on play therapy and provides play therapy to children who have experienced trauma. Carmen is a past member of the North Carolina National Association of Social Work board of directors and the North Carolina Association for Play Therapy board of directors. She is a current and active member of the South Carolina Association of Play Therapy board of directors.
