A Passion for Classic Cars

Jude Calvert-Toulmin, formerly a photo-journalist for the music press and the climbing/mountaineering press, became a full-time author in 2005. She is also an exhibiting photographer, having exhibited at The Mall Galleries in London. Jude won the award-winning prime-time Channel 4 TV show Come Dine With Me in 2013 and was runner-up in Come Dine Champion of Champions in 2016. Her debut novel My Adventures in Cyberspace, the first in The Willow Tree Trilogy, was published in 2009. The sequel, Drowning, was published in April 2016. Jude's first erotic novel, Mother-in-Law, Son-in-Law (written under the pen name "Julia") was published in 2009 and became a best-seller overnight. The sequel, A Passion for Classic Cars, is due for publication in April 2016. Also due for publication April 2016 is Labrats, a novel about a group of volunteers on a residential medical trial. Jude is currently researching her sixth novel, The Vitamin Shot, a love story partly set in Málaga. Jude is a mother of three, a grandmother and lives in Sheffield with her husband Brian - a cider maker - and their four cats. She regularly performs on the Sheffield spoken word scene including at Off The Shelf Literary Festival, having also hosted her own spoken word night, Northern Lights.
