Tony Hoagland is the winner of the Jackson Poetry Prize, as well as the James Laughlin Award, the O.B. Hardison Jr. Prize, and the Mark Twain Award, given by the Poetry Foundation in recognition of a poet's contribution to humor in American poetry. His fourth book, What Narcissism Means to Me, was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in poetry. He has published six collections of poetry and two collections of craft essays about poetry. His latest book is RECENT CHANGES IN THE VERNACULAR (Tres Chicas Books, 2017). He teaches at the University of Houston, and on Tuesday nights in a back classroom of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
