CHANA BLOCH (1940-2017), the author of award-winning books of poetry, translation, and scholarship, is Professor Emerita of English at Mills College, where she taught for over thirty years and directed the Creative Writing Program. Bloch is co-translator of The Song of Songs (Modern Library, 2006), and of poets Yehuda Amichai and Dahlia Ravikovitch.
