About the Author
Mark Mathis is a best-selling author, a serial entrepreneur, and runs a non-profit, providing Service Dogs for children with Autism. Best known for his novel, The Frost and the Belle, his books, poetry, blog, podcasts and general musings are published regularly on several social media outlets. A huge cinephile, Mark has been called a walking IMDB of horror movies and suspense thrillers. He also reads voraciously and finished his first novel, The Taker, when he was fourteen years old. The Augury Assignment which started out as a semi-autobiographical tale, mirrors Mark's early life growing up in Greenville SC. He, along with his two children, run Ry-Con Service Dogs, a 501(c)3 established to train and place dogs with those who have neurological disabilities. Mark has been profiled by CNN and several local publications on his efforts to support the Autism and Veterans communities. When not writing or working, he enjoys spending time with his Briard, Aragorn and playing piano and singing at a restaurant/bar near his home in Apex, NC.
