Dr. Amanda Stanford received both her MSc and PhD in English Creative Writing at Edinburgh University in Scotland, U.K. She has written several books for very young readers, but this is her first YA novel. She wishes to thank her bright and dedicated 7th and 8th grade students for the encouragement and support they have shown her throughout the writing of this novel.
