About the Author
Barbara J. Dzikowski graduated from Indiana University in 1979 with a degree in philosophy, and she went on to receive a Masters in counseling in 1997. She has published three novels, her debut being Searching for Lincoln's Ghost (2011). The Moonstoners (2019) was the first in a trilogy about two families whose lives become inextricably entwined from the 1960s through the present. In the second book of the trilogy, The Last Moon Before Home (to be released June 2020), Dzikowski draws on her experience as a former counselor for individuals and caregivers facing dementia to bring the next leg of the Ziemny/Trudeau families' journey to light. After living on both U.S. coasts, she resides in her native Midwest and is currently working on the final book of the trilogy.
Reviews

"One cannot deny the real power of the book. Readers will be drawn into caring deeply about these terribly tortured characters and bracing for the next inevitable tragic turn ... a gripping family story for those strong enough for the emotional journey." - Kirkus Reviews

"Many novels attempt to capture the turbulent times and social sentiments of 1960s America, but The Moonstoners goes a notch above most in exploring an individual's quest for love in the shadow of changing social relationships. ... As Dzikowski's story deftly navigates both matters of the heart and questions of madness and redemption, the 1960s come to life ... The Moonstoners excels in marrying a sense of the times with a famiily's dire circumstances." -Midwest Book Review, D. Donovan, Sr. Reviewer

"The characters' respective woes pump out a steady stream of juicy episodes set against an equally dramatic backdrop of world-changing events." - Foreword Reviews

"Dzikowski has created an impressive number of three-dimensional main characters. The Moonstoners is the first of a projected trilogy, and readers will likely be eager to learn what becomes of everyone in ensuing volumes." -BlueInk Review
