Kenneth I. Shine, a former senior vice chancellor for health affairs with UT System in Austin, is a courtesy professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Dell Medical School.
Steven N. Simon is a diplomat and policymaker who previously served as a senior director for Middle Eastern and North African affairs at the White House. He has coauthored several books, including The Age of Sacred Terror, which won the 2004 Arthur Ross Book Award for best book on international relations.
