Angel Leigh McCoy writes horror and dark fantasy fiction. She is the creative force behind the WYRDWOOD series. She has written for award-winning AAA video games such as Guild Wars 2 and Control. Among her roleplaying game credits, she counts numerous works in White Wolf's World of Darkness, including for the Vampire, Changeling, and Mage games.

Her latest world is Wyrdwood, a vast interwoven set of novels, novelettes, and short stories, including “Charlie Darwin, or the Trine of 1809”) and the Wyrdwood Welcome trilogy of novels. The Wyrdwood Historical Society short story "Nurse Magdaleine," was published in 2020, in her first collection (Dark was the Night).
