NOTE: You may see that many titles are on backorder. This is because the book industry supply chain has been severely disrupted by COVID-19. Books are taking much longer than usual to print, get through the warehouse process, and ship. We recommend backordering books now so that you receive them when they are next printed.

Tubby & Coo’s is a local queer-owned, progressive, nerdy, independent book shop in Mid-City New Orleans focused on science fiction and fantasy, romance, horror, children’s, queer, and diverse books. The shop is named after the owner’s grandparents, Tubby & Coo, who grew up in the same neighborhood where the shop is located. 

We’re a community center for nerds, geeks, and anyone who doesn't feel supported elsewhere. We believe in creating change through building community, promoting literacy, and demanding social justice. We also ensure our community has access to stories that reflect diverse experiences.
