Tubby & Coo's Mid-City Book Shop
Welcome to the Tubby & Coo's Warehouse! Please note that the books you find here do NOT reflect our in-store stock. To check if we have something in stock, please email [email protected] Orders made here are not fulfilled by us, but will be shipped directly from our warehouse to you. If you prefer to order from us for curbside pickup, please do so from our website.
NOTE: You may see that many titles are on backorder. This is because the book industry supply chain has been severely disrupted by COVID-19. Books are taking much longer than usual to print, get through the warehouse process, and ship. We recommend backordering books now so that you receive them when they are next printed.

Tubby & Coo’s is a local queer-owned, progressive, nerdy, independent book shop in Mid-City New Orleans focused on science fiction and fantasy, romance, horror, children’s, queer, and diverse books. The shop is named after the owner’s grandparents, Tubby & Coo, who grew up in the same neighborhood where the shop is located.
We’re a community center for nerds, geeks, and anyone who doesn't feel supported elsewhere. We believe in creating change through building community, promoting literacy, and demanding social justice. We also ensure our community has access to stories that reflect diverse experiences. We envision a future where everyone is empowered, able, and encouraged to tell their own stories, regardless of social class, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, religion, race, age, or culture. Every voice deserves to be heard, and we work to build a world where all voices are equally important.
