The Taleless Dog opened June 4, 2022.  After a couple of years with no bookstore in or around Berea, my husband and I decided to take the leap and open a store.  We were drawn to open the store because of the magical space that became available....a 100 year old building that was built with hand-cut logs in 1921.  The space is small and intimate and we try to curate a selection that our customers will love.  

We are the only brick and mortar bookstore in Madison County, with the next closest store nearly 40 miles away.  Every small town needs a bookstore.  It's the city's literary heart and soul.
