The Island Bookshop

The Island Bookshop was born from the visions of Venice Island residents, Aimee Carol Odette and Michael Garnet Rank who recognized the need for a bookstore in Venice, Florida. To us, a bookstore is an extension of home, the anchor of a community. We are University professors with a love for books and building community. The Island Bookshop is a long-standing dream. We are located in the Merchants of Venice Shopping Plaza in the downtown historic district. 

The Island Bookshop caters to the reading needs and desires of our customers. We are sellers of new and previously loved books for booklovers of all ages. As a small community-oriented bookshop and supporter of the arts, we provide literary and art experiences. We proudly sell art created by local artists. 

With gratitude, we look forward to fulfilling the literary needs of our community as well as a lifelong dream.
