Sunken City Books is proud to be the first bookstore to return to the community of San Pedro since our town’s famous booksellers shut their doors in the 2010s.
With a literary tradition so rich Bukowski never left it, San Pedro is today the working and thinking person’s corner of Los Angeles. We serve all the poets, writers, artists, longshoremen, and Nth-generation San Pedro residents at two locations.
Our main store at 6th and Mesa carries adult and children’s books, new and used, and every week we bring special selections to our second location at Crafted at the Port of LA. The San Pedro trolley goes directly between the two locations!
