Safe Shores–The DC Children's Advocacy Center

Safe Shores provides survivor-centered intervention, hope, and healing for children and families affected by abuse, trauma, and violence in the District of Columbia and works to prevent and end child abuse and neglect through promising practices, policies, and partnerships. Our Bookshop page shares some of our favorite books for teaching kids about bodies, boundaries and consent; books for adults about the impact of trauma and abuse; and books we keep on our shelves to give to clients when they visit the center. When you purchase books from our Bookshop, Safe Shores receives a 10% commission which will help support our mission.
