We're an independent children's picture bookstore for everyone's inner child. We mostly sell picture books, and we mostly sell them in person. We chose picture books because they have a special way of connecting the inner child with the outer world. We decided to get off the internet and open up a physical bookshop to help real people, with real complex lives, find themselves in stories. Our space is a teeny tiny nook (265 sq feet), but it's more than just a place to shop— it's a place to read, get recommendations and build a giant pillow fort. Bookshops are sacred portals for the right story, to find the right person, in just the right moment. Sometimes the grown-up world can be an unruly vortex of rules and complexities, and children's books are a really easy way to feel seen, heard and understood.
