Hi, I’m Maxie, and I’m here to make sure women’s stories don’t go untold. I’m obsessed with this pursuit, which has led to some prettyyyy cool moments: becoming a WSJ bestselling ghostwriter, having my book You’re Not Lost named by Apple as the best book for finding your purpose, guiding 75,000+ learners in my LinkedIn course, and launching a nextgen talk show that got women out of the boxes they’ve been shoved into, Woman On.
It’s interesting. But it’s way less urgent than what comes next.
When I set out to do something new, to write my first historical novel after a decade working in women’s leadership, I was blown away (and honestly, not in a good way) with how many blockbuster books followed the same formula: Z (historical feat) - Y (super famous man) = X (unknown woman)
Yes, I want to excavate the lost heroes of our past (and am doing that as we speak). But it’s way more fun (and important and effective) to make sure that we’re cataloging the legendary characters speaking their truth right now.
I’m writing those women down, the ones alive and kicking. Figuratively and literally, I center women’s perspectives in my telling of the past, present and future. And I want your story to become an heirloom added to that canon of human history. Because stories liberate us. There’s nothing more freeing or captivating or down-right entertaining than a woman sharing her truth.
That’s what I believe. It’s why I’m a storyteller in a committed relationship to many different mediums: books (my main squeeze. We’re 5 covers in), stages (long-time mistress thanks to keynotes of global conferences galore), podcasts (ok also a mistress), and soon some big-screens near you (but, like, still swiping right).
Liberation is creation, so let’s create together. I ghostwrite books that will change your world.
I ask questions and get women talking. I create the places, platforms, and pathways for women to write their truth.
There’s no limit to what we can do. Let’s sow future stories that get passed down forever and ever, awomen!
