Maria A. Karamitsos

Maria A. Karamitsos is a writer, author, blogger, emerging poet, and marketing pro. She's been a positive voice in Greek media since 2002. She was the Founder, Publisher, & Editor of WindyCity Greek magazine. For 10 years, she served as the Associate Editor & Senior Writer for The Greek Star newspaper. Maria currently pens a literary column for NEO magazine. Her work has been published in Highland Park Poetry, Voices of Hellenism Literary Journal, GreekCircle magazine, The National Herald, GreekReporter, Harlots Sauce Radio, Women.Who.Write, Neo magazine, KPHTH magazine, XPAT ATHENS, Shortcuts for Writers, and more. She's also a sought-after book reviewer. 

Maria has contributed to two books: Greektown Chicago: Its History, Its Recipes and The Chicago Area Ethnic Handbook. She's currently seeking representation for her first novel.
