Loudmouth Books

Loudmouth Books is a queer, black and woman-owned independent bookstore in Indianapolis, IN. Loudmouth is a bookstore and community space intended to uplift banned books and highlight the work of marginalized writers. Loudmouth was founded by bestselling and award-winning author Leah Johnson in the spring of 2023 after one of the most regressive anti-LGBTQIA legislative sessions in Indiana history as a means of keeping lifesaving, life-affirming diverse books in the hands of Hoosiers. 

If you’d like to order a book from our store, all you have to do is type it into the search bar above, and all of the profit goes right back into the independent bookstore(s) you know and love.
