In 2017, The Key was started to address the racial injustices in education and the mental health field. Our vision was to eradicate the systemic racism and inequities present in current educational systems that negatively impact the psychological well-being and academic performance of Black children. Through a culturally responsive and social justice-centered lens, The Key's critical solution-focused consultation, apposite evaluations, and training of educators, clinicians, and communities will provide them the needed Keys to improve the lives of all children.
