When I was a kid and people asked what my hobbies were, I never knew how to respond because the answer I wanted to give was "reading." But reading feels so much bigger than a hobby.
For the first 20 years of my reading life, I read voraciously, maxing out my check-out limit at the library on a weekly basis. For about 10 years, I was lucky to pick up a book once or twice a year (raising small kids will do that to you, it seems). These days, I read for pleasure, to educate myself, to find motivation, and because it's an escape into another world, another viewpoint, and another way of thinking.
