Indivisible Evanston is part of a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and resist the Trump and GOP agenda. We were founded by a group of Evanston, IL citizens who were alarmed by the 2016 election results. Since early 2017, "Indivisibles" not only successfully resisted the Trump administration, but we helped flip the House (2018) and take back the White House and Senate (2020). In 2021, we continue to take action to resist the ongoing threat of Trumpism to our democracy, civil rights and personal liberty and safety. At the start of 2020, we started our Book Group as a place for our members to discuss the works of authors whose works support our mission along with our partner Page 1 Books. Even after our Book Group meetings have occurred, we want our members and supporters to be able to access the selected books for their own reading, so we created this page as a resource.
