House of Books and Games

Founded in 2018 by Amy and Burt Smith, the House of Books and Games is the littlest store with the biggest heart. Burt likes to think of it as a no-kill book shelter. Many used bookstores toss donated books, thinking they’re not worthy of shelf space but they don’t think throwing away books is a good thing. The couple met in 2008 and had been collecting books for years. A small bookstore seemed a logical next step.

In our used book collection you will find General Fiction, Science Fiction, Biographies, Romance, Hobbies, Cookbooks, History, and many more topics; as well as children’s books ranging from picture books to young adult.

The shop has everything from current items to vintage books from the last century, affordably priced, and don’t forget the games! 

While our shop only carries used books, we can now offer new books through Bookshop!
