Griot Arts

Griot Arts is an arts and literary hub in Rochester, MN. We operate an indie bookstore with a curated collection of  books celebrating Black and Brown voices. 

On this page, you can search for any book you’re looking for or check out the curated lists below. If you buy books through Bookshop.org it will be mailed directly to your home and Griot Arts will receive 30 percent of  the purchase price. It really adds up and contributes greatly to our success and sustainability. 

Black-owned bookstores have a vibrant legacy of fostering communal care and empowering communities and we are excited about operating one in our city as an extension of our mission to celebrate Black arts and culture. Thanks for supporting us!
