Finding My Way Books was founded in 2011 by three women who are passionate about inclusion. Through their backgrounds in education, special education, Occupational Therapy, and photography, Finding My Way Books puts their passion into creating children's books that celebrate children with disabilities by sharing their stories. Their booklists are dedicated to promoting the inclusion of all who are marginalized in our communities. Finding My Way Books has joined the movement to become a more inclusive nation by encouraging inclusive reading.
Finding My Way Books are nonfiction photographed picture books that show the joy that is realized in the meaningful inclusion of children and adults with disabilities and promote inclusion in communities and schools. They offer diversity in disability, race, gender, culture, and environment. Bilingual titles are available in Spanish, Swahili, and French.
