ELIZABETH'S BOOKSHOP & WRITING CENTRE
About Elizabeth's Bookshop & Writing Centre:
Founded by author and activist, Rachel E. Cargle, Elizabeth's Bookshop & Writing Centre is an innovative literacy center located in Akron, Ohio, and designed to amplify and celebrate marginalized voices. Our catalog highlights, promotes, amplifies, celebrates, and honors the work of QTBIPOC writers who are often excluded from traditional cultural, social, and academic canons. Through curated collections of own voices' narratives, Elizabeth's seeks to educate and re-shape the lens of readers as they see themselves and how they view the world. A percentage of all sales from Elizabeth's will go to The Loveland Foundation, Inc. Therapy Fund for Black women and girls.
About our Bookshop.org Page:
This page allows Elizabeth's to serve readers beyond Akron. Below you will find dynamic reading lists curated by our knowledgeable booksellers including the notable #Revolution Reading List. We add new books & create new lists often, so please check back regularly for the very latest. You may also use the search bar at the top of the page to find any title. Books available on this site are for HOME DELIVERY anywhere in the USA. On Bookshop.org, there is a real person behind each list working to highlight and promote amazing QTBIPOC-centered books and making sure that independent bookstores remain a key feature of local communities.
