Danielle Dufy Literary
Danielle Dufy Literary, established in 2018, is on a mission to get more quality short literature into the hands of as many readers as possible. To that end, we published Stone Gathering: A Reader--a quarterly print-only collection of poems, small fictions, and essayettes--from 2018-2022, and will follow up with Stone Gathering, Too: more poems, small fictions, essayettes beginning in late May 2023. Contributors include Ross Gay, Debra Marquart, Danez Smith, Naomi Shihab Nye, Michael Kleber-Diggs, Ada Limón, Brian Doyle, Ellen Bass, Lucille Clifton, Charles Yu, Kathy Fish, Wendell Berry, William Stafford and more—writers you know and writers you’d be glad to know. In pre-pandemic times founder and editor, Deborah Jacobs, traveled far and wide to profess and promote short literature to a wider audience; and she plans to resume these travels in 2023, offering talks, salons, seminars, workshops and retreats in short literature. Our refreshed website (www.danielledufy.com) will feature a quarterly short-lit book club, reviews of short story, poetry, essay and mixed-genre collections, spotlights on our contributors and their work, and profiles of our favorite independent booksellers.
