The Carlos Museum Bookshop
Make your purchases count! Go to the CHOOSE A BOOKSTORE link at top right and select The Carlos Museum Bookshop as your bookstore of choice. All purchases made from our "storefront" will benefit the Carlos Museum as well as hundreds of independent bookshops around the country.
The Carlos Museum Bookshop, located at the Michael C. Carlos Museum on the campus of Emory University, stocks thousands of books on art, archaeology, history, mythology, and more for both adults and children. Brimming with titles on the ancient cultures of Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Near East, Africa, the Americas, and Asia, as well as literature and folktales through the ages, and many important contemporary topics such as climate change, media and technology, and global political issues, the Bookshop will pique your curiosity, spark your creativity, and send you in pursuit of answers to questions you never knew you had. We are currently open Tuesday through Saturday 11am to 5pm and Sunday 1 to 5pm. We still sometimes have staffing shortages or supply-chain delays getting books and gifts, so there may be days that the store is unavoidably closed. If you want to be sure we are open for your visit, email us at [email protected] a day or two before your visit. Meanwhile, you can support the museum with your online orders here!
