Brown Girl Therapy
Brown Girl Therapy is the first and largest mental health and wellness organization for children of immigrants. Founded by Sahaj Kaur Kohli, a therapist in training, Brown Girl Therapy aims to destigmatize mental health and promote bicultural identity exploration. The community exists to remind children of immigrants that they deserve belonging and joy, to encourage growth in connection with others, and to decolonize mental health. Brown Girl Therapy is also a hub for inclusive mental health resources, original narrative storytelling, and intentionally created personal development workshops, discussion-based meetups, and events.
This bookshop will provide recommendations of books from the founder Sahaj Kaur Kohli on different themes and topics as they pertain to identity, belonging, therapy, self-care, and mental health.
