Since 1974, Between the Covers has been a Telluride tradition for both locals and visitors. With over 13,000 books, maps, and cards—plus a bustling children’s section and events calendar—we are a creaky floored haven. Tucked in the back, High Alpine Coffee serves a regionally roasted blend, burritos, and pastries. Accessed thru the window on the sunny deck in the back alley. (Before Covid, a cushy couch, free Wi-Fi, and a Local's Art Wall rounded out the atmosphere.)
