Alma Mater Bookshop
Malcolm X once said, "My alma mater was books, a good library. I could spend my life reading, just satisfying my curiosity." --from The Autobiography of Malcolm X by Alex Haley.
In our family we love to read. We read to connect with each other and our world in a deeper way.
As a multiracial family, we place a special importance on books that showcase God's diverse image bearers from multiple ethnicities, cultures, and experiences.
Right now, with our children five years old and under, we read aloud a lot.
In this shop are lists of books I have found valuable and also lots of the books we have read and enjoyed with our sons. There are also favorites that I return to for inspiration as we go about our days learning, eating, playing, and making a life together.
