Onyx Oasis Bookstore

Hi, welcome to Onyx Oasis!


Onyx Oasis was created by Tranise Robinson, an avid reader and lover of Black literature. What started as an Instagram page to share her love for literature has evolved into a bookstore dedicated to sharing the stories of Black, Indigenous, Latine(a/o/x), Asian Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, and QTBIPOC writers. Onyx Oasis is a safe space for readers to discuss, shop for, and find books related to their individual identities and experiences in any and all genres from horror to romance and everything in between. Through this bookshop, Tranise hopes to highlight the many published and Indie authors of color and their literary works.

 

As an educator, Tranise is passionate about ending book bans, this bookshop is a place where banned books are found and celebrated for the impact they have on readers of color, the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, people living with disabilities and so many other historically and currently marginalized groups around the world.
