Mother Goose on the Loose Recommended Books
Mother Goose on the Loose (MGOL) began as a joyful, research-based early literacy for program for parents with babies from birth to age three that incorporates books, illustrations, flannel boards, felt pieces, musical instruments and puppets. It has now grown and has become a formula for program planning, an educational theory, programs for babies in utero, for parents of infants in NICUs, for newborns, for preschoolers, for school age children, and more. Developed by children's librarian Dr. Betsy Diamant-Cohen, Mother Goose on the Loose envisions a world where children EVERYWHERE have a strong foundation that will enable them to be successful in school and in life. The books below have either been written or co-authored by Betsy, or are recommended by her for use in MGOL programs and for background information for program facilitators.
